Galanthus ‘Fiona’s Gold’

A fine yellow snowdrop of the Sandersii Group, found in the garden of the distinguished plantswoman Primrose Warburg. The flowers carry the characteristic warm yellow pigmentation of the group, extending from the ovary and pedicel into the inner segments, where it forms a broad, softly defined inverted horseshoe. The outer segments remain predominantly white, creating a pleasing contrast with the yellow markings within. A relatively small, upright and particularly refined yellow nivalis, flowering early in the season. The identity of Fiona, commemorated in the cultivar name, remains undocumented.
