A clump-forming rhizomatous perennial for shady conditions, with lance-shaped dark-green leaves with white mid-ribs. Producing spurred soft yellow flowers in late summer. From Mt. Omei, Szechwan, China. Ht 30cm. Sp 30cm. 'Sango' named by Nick Macer for the deep red pigment washing through the stems and leaves. Deep maroon undersides to the leaves. Hardy.
